Basic Responsibility
To ensure that all the elements and requirements are in place and maintained to achieve BDG’s commitments towards Health, Safety, Environment and Quality as declared in the Policy.
Purpose And Importance
Blue Diamond Group employ large and complex refining units processing highly flammable petroleum material at high temperatures and pressures. HSEQ ensures all systems are in place that is required to mitigate and control any undesirable hazardous situation (causing threat to Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) arising in case of any failure or accident in the refinery.
To update, maintain and implement BDG subscribed HSEQ Codes & Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) requirements.
Role
- Facilitates / Conducts External / Internal Audits as per the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
- Facilitates / Conducts Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments and develops Operational Control to bring the hazards to ALARP.
- Ensures adequate numbers of staff are trained.
- Plan, organize and conduct periodic Mock Drills.
- Focal point to liaise and coordinate with government and other external agencies (oil companies) with an aim to pool resources for optimal management and control of emergency situation and crisis
